AT THE PRECIPICE

Good morning

What a thing. I had my entire blog written out in Word, as I normally do. This time, however, I pasted it into my blog and, for some reason known only to me, I deleted my Word copy.

Big mistake!

When I checked in to do any possible tweaks, the blog was a mess of unintelligible letters and symbols. I'm not nearly competent enough to sort out that mess. Here then is a summary of that post because I will never be able to reproduce it as it was.

Heroes

God Our Father, in His wisdom, has set aside those whom he has chosen and anointed to draw civilisation back from the brink, the precipice, if you prefer. These chosen ones, heroes all, are God’s Davids (both men and women). They stand as a shield and take all the slings and arrows that the enemy is discharging towards humanity throughout the world.

For this post, The Word which God gave me is Psalm 28, which I reproduce here in its entirety. It speaks of God’s protection of us and, in obedience, I pray its protection over all those who are operational.

Psalm 28
1 Unto thee will I cry, O LORD my rock; be not silent to me: lest, if thou be silent to me, I become like them that go down into the pit.
2 Hear the voice of my supplications, when I cry unto thee, when I lift up my hands toward thy holy oracle.
3 Draw me not away with the wicked, and with the workers of iniquity, which speak peace to their neighbours, but mischief is in their hearts.
4 Give them according to their deeds, and according to the wickedness of their endeavours: give them after the work of their hands; render to them their desert.
5 Because they regard not the works of the LORD, nor the operation of his hands, he shall destroy them, and not build them up.
6 Blessed be the LORD, because he hath heard the voice of my supplications.
7 The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.
8 The LORD is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed.
9 Save thy people, and bless thine inheritance: feed them also, and lift them up for ever.

At the Precipice

Here is my poem in honour of the giants among us in God’s army. I salute you.

HE STANDS ALONE

He stands alone
Within the ornate splendour
That depicts the life
Of his blessed saviour
Jesus The Christ

Quietly contemplative
He stands
Considering all that he needs to do
To safeguard a people
From the evil afoot

He knows full well
That he’s the prey
To be used as a target to overthrow
Yet even so he stands alone
With his saviour

In fervent supplication
To save his society
From rampant ruin
In prayer for his redeemer God
To save and set the people free!
