Good morning
Day Two of the Valentine countdown.
Simply my opinion.
Couples who play together; couples who pray together; and couples who say what they want to say together are couples who have the best chance to stay together in this modern world.
Is your partner your best friend? Is your partner the first person you think of when you want to tell someone of an exciting, happy or sad event? Do you give each other room to be loving, funny, pensive or angry? Can you chat for hours about anything or sit in silence together sharing an occasion or simply life in general?
Communication is a shared experience and when both partners are more invested in their love for each other than anything else, they communicate together in myriad ways. Shared smiles, experiences, breakthroughs and milestones are cornerstones of loving relationships.
That’s all.
Happy Life in My Garden |
THE WORLD TO ME
We should already have
Reached that stranded point
When times and rhymes
Stagnate
With boredom declaring
In words unsaid
How banal life can be
How astonishing
That as each new day
Grows then glows
And finally
Goes on its way
We never seem
To find enough phrases
To say what we want to say
In all this time
And as each day passes
You mean more
Than the world to me
It sounds so trite
To say thank you
For simply being you
Yet I hope you know
My dearest heart
That there’s nothing more
That I ever want
Or ever need
From you
Than for you to simply be you
You are loved
We should already have
Reached that stranded point
When times and rhymes
Stagnate
With boredom declaring
In words unsaid
How banal life can be
How astonishing
That as each new day
Grows then glows
And finally
Goes on its way
We never seem
To find enough phrases
To say what we want to say
In all this time
And as each day passes
You mean more
Than the world to me
It sounds so trite
To say thank you
For simply being you
Yet I hope you know
My dearest heart
That there’s nothing more
That I ever want
Or ever need
From you
Than for you to simply be you
You are loved
