|Mr and Mrs Snowe|
My poem for today was inspired by a comment made by a colleague of mine. I should imagine that the sentiments are what most people feel about a relationship.
I can't believe we're on 'L' already. That's half way through the month. I must admit that I was a bit concerned that I wouldn't survive this month's schedule but it's been wonderful so far and meeting up with 'old' friends and making new friends, well they're the best part of the whole thing.
Love Me For Now
I don’t care at all
About the loves you've had before
I also don’t care
I really don’t
What you do
If and when you leave
All that I ask of you
Is that for the time that you’re with me
And the time that I'm with you
Let it be me
And only me
Let it be only me
Lovely poem and I also love the photo of the snow couple. :)ReplyDelete
Nicely penned, Fe....ReplyDelete
That's a reasonable request.ReplyDelete
Glad you're having fun!
Thanks, Julie. The snow couple were made in minimal snow on a visit to England :)ReplyDelete
Thank You, Michael. Poetry comes easily to me for some strange reason...
Lol, Alex. Why, Yes, I suppose it is. :) Having been in relationships where the other person is constantly looking for a "better deal", I can relate to this too. I am having a wonderful time. I'll never get to visiting everyone but I have the rest of the year to do that too...
Oh that is so beautifully written, straight from the heart. :) Good luck with the rest of the challenge!ReplyDelete
I can't believe we're halfway there either. Lovely poem that does get to the heart of what most of us want.ReplyDelete
Hope you’re having fun with the A to Z challenge,
Simple... and yet heartfelt words.ReplyDelete
Isn't that every person's basic desire? Just to be loved in the here and now... irrespective of what went before or what is still to come...
